Course 6714: Configuring Group Policy Objects in Windows Server 2008

Introduction This 2-hour online course provides IT Professionals with the knowledge and skills to configure group policy objects in Windows Server 2008.

Topics covered in the course include:

• Scope configuration of GPOs
• Application evaluation of GPOs
• GPO management

This course helps you prepare for exam 70-640 TS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring.

Student Prerequisites

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP functions: IP addressing, including DHCP addressing; DNS name resolution, including WINS; and connection methods such as wired, wireless, and VPN; and .NET+ or equivalent knowledge
• Completion of online collection 6424: Fundamentals of Windows Server 2008 Active Directory or equivalent knowledge

• Microsoft Silverlight 4.0 or higher
• Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher
• Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher
• A Super VGA monitor with minimum screen resolution 1024x768, with 16-bit color.
• A sound card, and either speakers or headphones (for multi-media audio).
• Internet bandwidth of 56K or faster. Broadband internet access is recommended.
