Course 6676: Creating Controls for Web Applications in Microsoft® Visual Studio 2008

Introduction This 2-hour online course provides you the knowledge and skills to create controls for Web applications in Visual Studio 2008.

Topics covered in the course include:

• User control creation for Web applications
• Custom server control implementation
• Development of Web forms for mobile applications

This course helps you prepare for exam 70-562 TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 ASP.NET.

Student Prerequisites

• Three years of experience in developing, monitoring, and debugging Web applications by using ASP.NET 1.1 or ASP.NET 2.0
• Knowledge of programming in C# or Microsoft Visual Basic .NET (VB.NET)
• Knowledge of security concepts such as forms authentication
• At least one year of experience in working with Internet Information Services (IIS)
• Experience in working with Visual Studio 2005 or later
• Knowledge of ADO.NET
• Experience in working with Microsoft .NET Framework classes that are related to ASP.NET and ADO.NET

Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Create a user control for Web applications.
