Course 6660: Managing Windows Communication Foundation Service Instances and Concurrency

Introduction In this 2-hour on-line course application developers will learn how to manage service instances and concurrency in WCF. Topics covered in this course include:

• Managing WCF Service Instances
• Managing Concurrency

This course will also prepare you for exam 70-503 TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 - Windows Communication Foundation.

Student prerequisites

To get the most out of this course the target audience should have previous experience with Windows Visual Studio development system. Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Manage WCF service instances created in response to client requests.
• Manage concurrency issues in the context of other architectural decisions, such as instance management and resource protection.

• A Pentium II, 256 MB RAM with a processor speed greater than or equal to 400 MHZ
• Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or higher

• Microsoft Silverlight 4.0 or higher
• Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher
• Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher
• A Super VGA monitor with minimum screen resolution 1024x768, with 16-bit color.
• A sound card, and either speakers or headphones (for multi-media audio).
• Internet bandwidth of 56K or faster. Broadband internet access is recommended.
