Course 6647: Binding Data to Controls by Using Windows Presentation Foundation

Introduction In this 2-hour online course, application developers will learn how to bind data to controls in a Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) application. Topics covered in this course include:

• Overview of Data Binding
• Creating a Data Binding
• Implementing Property Change Notification
• Converting Data
• Validating Data

This course will also prepare you for exam 70-502 TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 - Windows Presentation Foundation.

Student prerequisites:

To get the most out of this course, the target audience should have previous experience with developing applications by using earlier versions of Microsoft Visual Studio. Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Explain WPF data binding concepts and terminology.
• Create a binding between a data source and a control.
• Implement property change notifications.
• Convert data between a binding source and a binding target.
• Validate user-entered data.
