Course 6145: Deploying Web Applications on Microsoft Internet Information Services 7.0

Introduction This course provides IT Professional with the knowledge and skills required to describe the facilities that Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 provides for ASP.NET applications. This course also covers the process for deploying and configuring Web applications on IIS 7.0

• Exam 70-649 TS: Transition from Windows Server 2003 MCSE to Windows Server 2008 Technology Specialist
• Exam 70-643 TS: Configuring Windows Server 2008 Application Services

Audience Prerequisites:

• Practical knowledge of Windows Server 2008 administration
• Experience of setting security properties on network resources
• Experience with security certificates
• Knowledge of the HTTP and TCP/IP protocols

Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Describe ASP.NET support in IIS 7.0.
• Configure modules on IIS 7.0.
• Configure Web applications on IIS 7.0.

• Microsoft Silverlight 4.0 or higher
• Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher
• Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher
• A Super VGA monitor with minimum screen resolution 1024x768, with 16-bit color.
• A sound card, and either speakers or headphones (for multi-media audio).
• Internet bandwidth of 56K or faster. Broadband internet access is recommended.
