Course 6076: Searching Data by using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

Introduction This course covers the procedures for searching data by using Enterprise Search service in Office SharePoint Server 2007. The course will also introduce how you can use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 and Microsoft Visual C# code to administer the Enterprise Search service in Office SharePoint Server 2007. You can customize the search UI and create a custom security trimmer to manage search results. In addition, the course introduces the methods by which you can display search results. This will also help you prepare for exam 70-542. Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Administer the Enterprise Search service in Office SharePoint Server 2007 programmatically.
• Customize the search UI programmatically.
• Create a custom security trimmer to customize search results.
• Display search results by using the Object Model and the Search Web Service.
