Course 5340: Upgrading Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services

Introduction In this two-hour online course, you will learn how to upgrade your existing SQL Server Analysis Services 2000 to SQL Server Analysis Services 2005. Topics covered include describing the features of SSAS 2005, upgrading to SSAS 2005, redesigning existing databases to support the upgrade, and factors to consider for the upgrade. These courses are for database administrators that are responsible for installing SQL Server 2005 within environments that have existing SQL Server 2000 installations.

Student prerequisites:

This course requires that students meet the following prerequisites:

• Have thorough experience with SQL Server 2000 including the knowledge and skills to manage and maintain a SQL Server 2000 database solution.
• Be familiar with SQL Server 2005 features, tools, and technologies and have a comprehensive understanding of all its new features and technologies including:
