Course 5244: Introduction to Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0

Introduction In this online learning course, you will explore the core components of WSS 3.0 as well as the types of solutions that WSS 3.0 provides. In addition, you will learn about the administrative tools and security model of WSS 3.0. This course also helps prepare you for certification exam 70-631.

Student Prerequisites:

• Have on-the-job experience implementing, managing, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2003, including Internet Information Services (IIS).
• Have working knowledge of networking, for example, TCP/IP and Domain Name System (DNS).
• Recommended on-the-job experience implementing, managing, and supporting Windows SharePoint Services 2.0.

Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Describe the design goals, solutions, and core components of WSS 3.0.
• Describe the solutions provided by integrating WSS 3.0 with Office 2007 client applications, Exchange Server 2007, and other technologies.
• Describe the administrative considerations, administration model, tools, and tasks, and the security model of WSS 3.0.
