explore Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and its benefits and
requirements. Many organizations are deploying Remote Desktop
Services (RDS) for clients on the internal network. However, RDS
also provides functionality that makes it the ideal solution for
enabling users outside an organization to securely access
applications and data. The main RDS role service that makes this
possible is Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway). In this course,
you will learn how to extend RDS to provide secure access to
applications and data for users who are accessing organizational
assets via an Internet connection. This course is a subset of the
content offered in the Microsoft Learning Collection 10215A:
Implementing and Managing Microsoft® Server Virtualization, and it
can help prepare learners for the Microsoft Learning certification
exam 70-659 TS: Windows Server 2008 R2, Server Virtualization.
Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- In this course, you will deploy and configure Remote Desktop
Session Hosts (RD Session Hosts) and Remote Desktop Connection
Brokers (RD Connection Brokers). You will also extend RDS to
provide secure access to applications and data for users who are
accessing organizational assets via an Internet connection.
