Course 10004: WPF Data Binding for Windows Forms Developers

Introduction This two-hour course provides you with the skills and knowledge required to use data binding techniques in Windows Presentation Foundation. You will learn about the Binding class, and how to bind elements declaratively, minimizing the use of procedural code. You will also learn how to bind XML data sources to XAML.

Student prerequisites:

To benefit from this course, the learner must be familiar with, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or 2008, Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0, or 3.5, Visual C# or Visual Basic .NET, and WinForms. The learner must also have access to Visual Studio 2008.

• Microsoft Silverlight 4.0 or higher
• Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher
• Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher
• A Super VGA monitor with minimum screen resolution 1024x768, with 16-bit color.
• A sound card, and either speakers or headphones (for multi-media audio).
• Internet bandwidth of 56K or faster. Broadband internet access is recommended.
