of Encore DVD will pay-in-spades in the long run.
In this 4-hour title by lead Nonlinear Educating Inc. trainer Dan
Moughamian, you'll learn everything you need to know to create
engaging interactive DVD-Video. The title begins with a detailed
exploration of the Encore DVD interface, including tips on using
the workspace, setting preferences , and story-boarding your
project.
Of particular note, in the first part of this tutorial you'll learn
all of the technical details you always wanted to know about
television standards, video frame rates, bit budgeting and
compressing for DVD-Video, as well as the differences between
normal and HD DVD-Video.
After exploring the science behind DVD-Video, you'll go on to make
an actual project. You'll learn how to make custom menus, work with
text, link buttons, and put together all the important interactive
elements of your DVD. You'll also see the secrets behind making
moving menus, including adding motion to buttons and menu
backgrounds.
The tutorial ends with a section on advanced DVD-Video concepts
such as making slideshows from still pictures and adding subtitles
so you can localize your DVD in different languages to serve your
global market.
Finally, you'll learn how to output a finished DVD-Video that will
play on any standard set-top or computer-based DVD-Video
player.
This is a comprehensive tutorial, but you don't need to watch the
entire show. Use the detailed menus and keyword search features to
