MBA Program

The MBA program at LMU is designed for individuals with at least two years of professional or internship experience. (For those with six or more years of professional experience, please visit the Executive MBA program website.)

There are nine core courses that must be completed in the MBA program. Students with recent undergraduate coursework in business (five years or less) with acceptable grades may be able to waive some of these courses. Challenge exams are also available for students interested in testing out of any of these core courses:

Areas of Emphasis

You will take three courses in your chosen area of emphasis. By adding one elective to your curriculum, you can pursue a second emphasis. Areas of emphasis include:

Electives

A wide variety of electives are offered each semester to help supplement the core learning experience. You will select electives outside your area of emphasis to provide more general knowledge in a variety of subject areas.

Global Experience

• Comparative Management Systems (CMS) is one of the most popular international programs for MBA students. CMS requires a year of study and concludes with travel to a number of countries in a specific region of the world to meet with business executives, visit local attractions and learn about the location’s unique business environment, social culture and customs.
• The Bonn Program gives MBA students the opportunity to earn three credit hours in the heart of the European Union. The course, The Environment of Business in the European Union, takes place over a period of two weeks in August.

• application form (hard copy mailed in or online form)
• application fee of $50
• official GMAT score or GRE score 
• official TOEFL, IELTS or PTEA score (if attended high school outside the US)
• official transcripts (two copies) from all colleges and universities attended
• personal statement (should be two pages)
• two confidential sealed letters of recommendation completed on the forms supplied
