The Chicago M.B.A. Program at Illinois State , a top quality accredited MBA degree program, offers its students an opportunity to build and develop skills to become leaders in today’s organizations. The program fosters enhanced group dynamics, development of important support systems, and valuable team experiences. Students become creative thinkers and problem solvers as they collaborate on class projects, presentations, and reports in a curriculum blending analysis, writing, and team effort.

Students become creative thinkers and problem solvers as they collaborate on class projects, presentations, and reports in a curriculum blending analysis, writing, and team effort.
The program is presented in a 19-month, weekend format in the Downtown Chicago area beginning in February 2013. This Program is intended for students that were undergraduate business majors or minors. Classes meet on Friday evenings and all day on Saturdays every other weekend.
Criteria
Criteria considered in the evaluation of applicants are:
- Performance on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). GMAT requirements may be waived for : applicants with an advanced degree (master's or higher); or those who have a GPA of 3.0 or above in the last 60 collegiate semester credit hours along with at least seven years of full-time professional experience after college graduation at business or a government institution.To be considered for a GMAT waiver, applicants should submit the GMAT waiver petition form and supporting documents.
- Undergraduate GPA earned during the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate work.
- Other indicators of potential for success in the graduate study of business including recommendations, and personal essays, as well as previous work, supervisory, customer service and international experience.
- Admission to any graduate program is contingent upon admission to the Graduate School of Illinois State University. Applicants need to submit a Graduate School application, official transcripts, and GMAT results to the Graduate Admission Office.
