If we were to ask you what an Agile Coach is, what would you say? And what values do you believe are part of the Agile Coach’s DNA?
As an Agile Coach, you are tasked to streamline processes, deliver value and support effective collaboration. In sport’s terminology, the comparison to the role of a midfielder in soccer is easily made. The midfielder usually disrupts the opposing team’s attacks, while also creating opportunities for goals. Moving between attack and defense, the midfielder typically travels the greatest distance during a match.
Competitive circumstances aside, we can directly extrapolate
very specific cross-over values that an Agile Coach shares with a
midfielder: a strong awareness of the rest of the team and
individual players, providing support to advance or prevent
mistakes from happening. Creating the circumstances for maximum
collaboration, anticipate and maintain overview. All the while
travelling the distance with each individual member in their agile
transformation process.
