This course includes “hands on” based practical training. The first part of the course is the distance learning theory element which is completed in your own time and done entirely from the comfort of your own home. As you near the end of your theory training we will contact you to arrange booking you onto your practical training. The practical training is run regularly throughout the year. You can decide when you are going to attend and which one of our national network of training centres would be most convenient for you to attend.

Practical Element (5 half days Days)
Practical Training will cover various aspects including demonstration, practical assessment and feedback of:
- Provide body massage treatments - 2 day course
- Provide indian head massage - 1 day course
- Aromatherapy massage using pre-blended oils - 1 day course
- Provide hot stone therapy treatments - 1 day course
- Provide self tanning services - 1/2 day course
Qualifications
Qualification: Massage NVQ Level 3
On successful completion of the course you will receive the NVQ Level 3 qualification which is fully accredited by the VTCT (see: www.vtct.org.uk for more information). The qualification is also recognised by HABIA - the Government standards setting body for the Hair & Beauty Industry. Gaining accredited NVQ qualifications increase your chances of getting jobs as employers recognise these qualifications as work ready in the same way as GCSE's and A levels in other subjects. Having this externally accredited qualification will also significantly increase your chances of being able to work abroad or on cruise ships.

This course is currently only available to be studied via the traditional paper-based method.

Study Hours
This is only an approximate figure and is dependant upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor. You should allow at least 1 - 2 hours of study to complete each question paper.
