Interactive: meta information

n our on-page SEO module you learned about the concept of meta information about a page - information about a page rather than displayed on a page. From a classic optimization perspective, the most important piece of meta information is the title of a page. It's position as the only unique piece of information about a page that is designed to be read by humans makes it uniquely powerful.

There are, however, a variety of other attributes of a page that can have a big impact on its rankings. In this module, we will walk through interactive examples for things like declaring the canonical version of a page, controlling a page's indexation and ability to pass link authority, making explicit the language and locale for which a page is designed and controlling features like thumbnails used when a link is shared in external environments like Facebook and Twitter.
