The GSSE program provides international entrepreneurs with advanced business skills to build global enterprises that achieve sustainability with results focused on the triple bottom line of economic, social and environmental performance.

Program Application Checklist

  • Graduate School Application Form is completed online
  • The $50.00 application fee may be paid upon completion of your online application with a major credit card.
  • After you submit the online Graduate School Application Form and receive a CSU ID, complete and submit theGSSE Applicant Data Sheet.
  • Cover letter stating your purpose for pursuing the GSSE MBA degree and the value you bring to the program. Please indicate in your cover letter whether you are proficient in any languages other than English. If you write and/or speak in additional languages be sure to include them and indicate your proficiency level. You may submit the cover letter electronically, in Word (.doc) or Acrobat (.pdf) format, to the submission address below.
  • Essay: Please write a formal essay addressing one of the following topics. The essay should be no longer than 1000 words (approximately 2-3 pages).
    • What do you believe is the most important global challenge and what is your personal vision for approaching it (including some first steps for taking action)?
    • What life changing event or experience caused you to become interested in the field of social and sustainable enterprise?
    • Some entrepreneurs are possessed by an idea – does that describe you? What is your “big idea”, and how do you plan to implement it?
  • Three (3) professional recommendations using the College of Business’ Recommendation Form in sealed envelopes
  • It is mandatory that all GSSE applicants complete this survey and attach a copy of the Survey completion confirmation page to their application. All the information collected from this survey will be used for internal program evaluation and will not have any impact on the selection process.
  • Current résumé 
  • GMAT/GRE and TOEFL scores should be sent directly to the University (code 4075)
  • Do not include student copies of GMAT/GRE or TOEFL scores. These scores must be sent directly from Pearson VUE (GMAT) or Educational Testing Service (GRE and/or TOEFL) to the College of Business.
  • One (1) set of official transcripts from all institutions attended in pursuit of your undergraduate or graduate 
    degree(s) in sealed envelopes; these may be issued to you and then sent to the College of Business.
  • If applicable, a letter to the Graduate Admissions Committee explaining the circumstances causing academic performance below the requisite 3.0 cumulative GPA for undergraduate or graduate study.
  • Graduate Assistantship Application, if applicable. Priority is given to applications received by April 1, 2013.
  • GSSE Scholarship Application, please submit to Shelby Sack at Shelby.sack@business.colostate.edu.
