From its inception in 1991 the Consortium Institute of Management and Business Analysis (CIMBA) has been offering its Full-time and Part time MBA programs in northern Italy. Led by the highly-regarded University of Iowa Tippie School of Management, the CIMBA MBA program is globally-focused with a diverse, international student body and a highly-recognized faculty. The program is distinguished from more traditional MBA programs by its strong emphasis on leadership and personal development. Through its use of neuro- and bio-feedback technology (used extensively both inside and outside the classroom) and certified leadership development coaches, the program focuses on developing both a participant’s technical management skills and the important emotion-behavioral skills driving effective leadership. Its innovative approach to leadership and personal development is further witnessed by the fact that CIMBA is a co-founder of the NeuroLeadership Institute and serves as its worldwide research laboratory.
Full-time and Part-time MBA program participants both study at the CIMBA campus in Asolo, Italy, and at the University of Iowa main campus in the US.
Successful graduates of the CIMBA program receive their AACSB accredited MBA degree from the Tippie School of Management, the University of Iowa.
The focus within the consulting project which is part of the program is on both technical and personal development. The projects provide companies with an implementable solution, participants with an opportunity to test new management and leadership skills, and CIMBA leadership coaches with an active forum in which to observe and assess participant progress toward defined personal development goals.
Past participants have come from nearly 50 different countries. The typical CIMBA graduate either holds a Senior Management position or owns his or her own business. That gives the program a entrepreneurial twist. For more than 15 years, CIMBA has been about creating global managers as leaders leading people, not analysts leading numbers. CIMBA has been rising and we believe it will in the near future.
