How long is the CAPM certification valid?

The CAPM® certification is valid for 3 years. To maintain it, you must earn 15 PDUs (Professional Development Units) during the 3-year cycle.

What happens if I fail the CAPM exam?

You can retake the exam up to 3 times within your one-year eligibility period. PMI offers reduced fees for retakes.

Can I upgrade from CAPM to PMP later?

Yes! CAPM certification is a great stepping stone. Once you gain the required experience and education, you can pursue the PMP®. Your CAPM experience can also count toward PMP eligibility.
