The Foundation qualification provides you with the knowledge to effectively contribute to change initiatives and is the first step towards the Practitioner qualification. With the Practitioner qualification, you will learn to apply and adapt change management strategies to real-life situations, enabling you to drive successful change with the right guidance and support.

This eLearning Change Management course provides an overview of all the concepts and models published in this field over the past 40 years. With this overview, you can rightly call yourself a specialist in Change Management. Through exercises and case studies, you will apply the theories and learn to analyze the situation and apply the most appropriate methods and techniques. Despite the large amount of theory, the training is therefore practical in nature.

  • Distinguish between well-founded concerns about a change and resistance to change, recognize signs of resistance and suggest approaches that can mitigate it. Understand sources of resistance to change and ways to work effectively.
  • Recommend and support appropriate actions taken by people in different change roles, especially change sponsors, line managers and change agents, and help build and sustain effective teamwork through change.
  • Describe key elements of the process of engaging stakeholders in a change initiative and relate this to building appropriate communication strategies. Learn how to identify stakeholders and engage effectively with them.
  • Structured approaches that you can use to shape a change initiative. How teams can facilitate successful organizational change and how line managers, sponsors, change leaders and change agents can best work together.
  • Understand factors that influence people's motivation during change and how to encourage support for change initiatives. How to "read" the organizational context for change.

Change Management™ Practitioner section

The Change Management Practitioner course provides participants with a thorough understanding of the principles of Change Management. The Change Management Practitioner course focuses on gaining a deep understanding of why change happens, how change happens, and what needs to be done to make change a more welcome and achievable concept.

This course is taught using a case study and a workbook designed to enhance and reinforce candidates' knowledge of the subject. Students who complete this course will be adequately prepared to successfully pass the corresponding exam for the Change Management Practitioner certification.

  • A range of organizational paradigms to understand, support, and sustain organizational change processes.

  • How to establish a clear framework of roles, skills, and activities through which leaders can support and sustain the change process.

Format of the Foundation exam:

  • Multiple choice questions
  • Four sections, 50 questions in total
  • 25 points required to pass (out of 50 possible) - 50%.
  • 40 minutes duration
  • Closed book

The Foundation qualification is a prerequisite for the Practitioner qualification.

Examination format for Practitioner:

  • Objective test based on a case study scenario
  • 5 sections with 16 points each
  • 40 points required to pass (out of 80 possible) - 50%.
