Learn the basic theories and methods for leading and managing change projects in your organization in a structured and effective way.
By the end of the course you will:
- Identify key features of the organizational context in which a change initiative takes place, including the benefits the organization is seeking to drive, the approach used for the change, and the organizational culture.
- Contribute a range of perspectives on the different human reactions that can be seen in a change initiative, suggest ways in which a change can be managed to minimize negative effects, and suggest ways in which people can be supported through change.
- Distinguish between well-founded concerns about a change and resistance to change, recognize signs of resistance, and suggest approaches that can mitigate it.
- Recommend and support appropriate actions taken by people in different change roles, especially change sponsors, line managers, and change agents, and help build and maintain effective teamwork through change.
