APMG AgilePgM (Agile Program Management) is a framework developed in collaboration between APMG International and the Agile Business Consortium. It is designed around applying the principles of Agile management at the program level.

The framework provides best practices and demonstrably accurate insight into how to fully leverage the benefits of Agile without sacrificing the governance and control needed to make programs successful. It can be applied to programs and projects of any size, and the best practices can even yield benefits in areas such as change management, risk management, and so on.

What is AgilePgM useful for?

  This module provides a broad overview of AgilePgM, including the key elements of the framework.
• Philosophy & Principles
  This module addresses the philosophy of Agile before introducing the five Principles of the AgilePgM framework.
  
• Life cycle and Products
  This module examines the lifecycle of Agile programs. It also looks at the ‘products’ involved.
  
• PlanningThis module addresses the planning phase of Agile programs, as well as the implications of long-term planning within an Agile context. It also introduces ‘MoSCoW Prioritization’.
• Roles and responsibilities
  This module looks at the roles and responsibilities involved in AgilePgM programs. These include the roles found in Agile program management teams, capability delivery teams, and support teams. The module also addresses the importance of stakeholder engagement in ensuring the success of Agile programs.
• Governance
  This module describes the governance principles and structure of AgilePgM that keep programs agile without losing track of corporate goals.
• Management and control
  This module examines the management and control elements of AgilePgM, as well as the review points of an Agile program and the use of tranches.
  
• Quality Management
  This module looks at how quality management is applied to an Agile program. It also takes candidates through the requirements and outputs of quality management.
