The training is focused on introducing and understanding test driven development(TDD) concept. It is structured from from theoretical basic to real-examples. It reviews the close relation between the TDD and Clean Code concepts.

Subjects:

  • Remote team, agility and tools
  • complexity/importance of testing pyramid
  • deep dive to TDD and Clean Code
  • how to structure tests: black and white
  • mutability and side effects
  • mock testing: what, where and how
  • code smells and heuristics

The trainer, Miro Wengner, contributes to OpenJDK, Java Mission Control Project and is involved in other open-source technologies. Participants are expected to bring a laptop.
